Where Will You Go in The Prelife?

Perhaps I forgot it in the first place because it wasn't as good a thought as I thought. You be the judge:

The pastor mentioned the "afterlife" today, and I realized what a silly term that is. What we see in front of us at present is not really life, but merely a picture of reality. The spiritual realm is the true reality, and life indeed.

For believers, then, it is not the so-called afterlife with which we must contend. By the grace of God, we have salvation from Hell through Jesus Christ and are guaranteed a place with Him in heaven.

Therefore, it is here in the "prelife" that we must ask the question, "Where will I go?" Our salvation does NOT depend upon works, but the quality of our lives on this earth is dictated by our relationship with our Lord, by our decision to follow Him in the minutiae of earthly living. Sometimes I wonder why God placed me here in this society, in this community, in this time period. But in the end it doesn't really matter; what matters is what I do with that fact. Will I allow myself to be steered in the right direction? If I believe what I say I do, I must allow my ultimate end to dictate this "middle way."

So when I have shuffled off this mortal coil, when I am only spirit, as I am meant to be, I will then be living life indeed...yes, life after death is life indeed.
